Gerber Daisy Macro

by Pat on February 25, 2010

Another extension tube shot! This one of a pink Gerber daisy we picked up today. I personally love how this flower has a natural spiral design. Very little photoshop done here, those colors are out of the camera. Photoshop was done to sharpen the image slightly.

It’s Alive!

by Pat on January 16, 2010

In keeping with the black background theme I seem to have going on, here’s a photo of a Plasma Ball. I typically use this for my haunted garage setup at Halloween. I put my finger on the top to get the “lighting” to zap to the top. I think this came out pretty cool!

Mistress of the smoke

by Pat on January 15, 2010

This is my first time photographing smoke, and it’s really quite interesting. There is 1 AlienBees AB800 with a 20 degree grid to the right providing the sidelight, and the colors were amped up in Photoshop. I think this one came out looking really cool!

I called it “Mistress of the Smoke” because it looks like there’s a lady in the bottom part of the smoke. Isn’t it funny how we always try to find objects or faces in smoke or clouds, because that’s what we can connect with the most?
