A few months ago when I was setting up this blog, I had put up a few quick test posts, and some test photos. Well, it looks like Google may have cached this one photo in particularly, and as a result I seem to be getting some pretty consistent traffic to this one photo. Well, the post content is gone, but back by popular demand I’ve re-posted the photo for all to enjoy.
This is an HDR photo of the WWII Memorial, Reflecting Pool and the Lincoln Memorial, taken in April 2009 at sunset. I had spent a week in DC for work, so I took a day off and wandered throughout the National Mall. Setup for this shot was fairly simple. I setup camp at the base of the Washington Monument about 30 minutes before sunset. Once my tripod and camera were setup, I waited for the colors to arrive. This shot is comprised of 3 images taken with -2 to +2 exposure bracketing. I have a few other HDRs that I’ll be happy to share in the future.
