Another shot from this past weekend’s adventure around Cape Cod. This time from a little location called North Truro Air Force Station, that we ventured to so we could try out a little HDR urbex. Urbex, or Urban Exploration, is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while but never seem to find any cool places. When we came to this area I was pretty excited to start checking it out. We didn’t go inside any of the buildings, but that was okay with me because the outside offered a lot of interesting and forgotten areas.
This photo was one of the last ones I shot from this location. It’s of a huge rusted door from the back of one of the main buildings. It looked very heavy, like the door to an old meat freezer or something. While framing up this shot I couldn’t help but run through all the scenarios in my head of what this door could have once been used for!
