We went back to The Big E over the weekend just to grab some night time shots of the carnival midway. I had a blast photographing all the different rides. They all have their own personality when viewed with a long exposure.
Unfortunately my tripod gained a little too much attention with both the general public and the police. Thankfully neither one actually spoke with me, so I was able to keep shooting. It’s amazing how much the general public will just jump in front of the lens and expect you to take their picture. It was actually quite amusing! The police, on the other hand, didn’t seem too excited that I was there. They looked at me and my equipment, had a conversation about it, looked back at me and then walked away. I must not have seemed like a threat to them! As I wandered throughout the carnival I saw at least two other photographers with tripods which was reassuring for me.
I got a few other great night time ride shots that I will share over the coming weeks!
